Park Frankendael, is the biggest and most important ecological park in Amsterdam. The park has been renovated completely. Where the former city nursery was located a new park area is located, and the old historical gardens have been restored. Big green lawns, playgrounds and “het Slingerpad” makes this location very suitable for this atmospheric market. At the picnic spots, you can relax and enjoy nice food and drinks.

In 1934 tree planting in the Amsterdamse Bos began a task which eventually provided work for 20.000 unemployed people during the crisis years. The planting project ultimately lasted until 1967. Spanning an impressive 1,000 hectares, at three times the size of New York’s Central Park the Amsterdamse Bos is among the largest city parks in Europe. The Amsterdamse Bos has become a perfect mix of natural landscape, recreation and relaxation. The Grote Speelvijver and Grote Speelweide are good examples of this, this lake and playground are not only intended as visual treats but also to be used.
This is why this location is perfect to have a Pure Markt.
